A Field Guide to Desert Holes

Pinau Merlin

This book definitely fits the category as a field guide and one of the better ones I’ve seen. It covers subjects rarely talked about but that extremely valuable. It may be difficult for a person to walk the desert without wondering who, what, or where the animals are that live in the many holes in the ground. After awhile, the holes become recognizable due to their particular pattern, construction and placement. Still the mystery persists because it is quite rare to actually see one of these animals going in or out of burrow. With its illustrations and relevant discussions, this field guide can accelerate ones knowledge in this matter.
