Gale Monson and Lowell Summers
This is a book I wish I would have known about when I first began exploring the desert on my own. It covers every aspect of desert bighorn sheep survival and management that I can think of. It is ideal for the novice just beginning to understand the desert bighorn and their environment, but also provides great information to all levels of experience. Written in 1980, the vast majority of the information is still correct and relevant, but if written today would probably include additional data from the results of recent DNA studies. It is difficult to find a scientific study that is as timeless and correct as this, and it is based on this that it is highly recommended.
